Student Summer Accelerators

Our student summer accelerator helps aspiring founders explore entrepreneurship, unlock their creativity, and learn the fundamentals of launching a venture.

For students ready to take their concept to market, our accelerator offers support in customer discovery, business modeling, and go-to-market strategy.

Participants gain access to expert mentorship, skill-building workshops, and a collaborative community focused on turning ideas into impactful businesses.

Applications Open Monday March 30th at 12:00AM

Applications Close Tuesday April 28th at 11:59PM

We will have 2 sessions, both are considered the "rams to riches" track and have the same information.

Cohort 1: May 12th - May 28th on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9:00am to 12:00pm

Cohort 2: June 2nd - 18th on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 1:00pm to 4:00pm

  • Customer Discovery: Develop the tools and confidence to interview customers, identify needs, and iterate based on real feedback.

  • Rapid-Fire Pitch Sessions:
    Students regularly pitch their startups in short, high-energy formats that simulate real-world investor and customer meetings.

  • Hand Selected Mentorship:
    Founders are paired with and experienced subject mater expert that can provide guidance for your startup’s industry.

Each track’s application has unique questions, if you are applying to both programs the application should take about 30 minutes. Some of the questions might throw you. That is not a problem, just do your best to respond as well as you can, and trust the process.

Student Summer Accelerators Overview

Launch Chapel Hill offers student innovators a customized summer program designed to accelerate your venture to the next level! By joining this summer program, student entrepreneurs will be able to progress their ventures through deep learning and mentorship from the Launch Chapel Hill team.

How long is the program?

Both sessions will consist of 3 sessions on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for 3 weeks in either May or June. Student teams must commit to fully engage and participate in the the entire program, ideally in person. (early June to mid August).

What are the dates?

The Summer 2026 accelerator to run from May to June 2026.

Who is this program for?

Undergraduate or graduate teams looking to work full time to scale their businesses (at least 1 founding member of each team must be a current university student—undergraduate, graduate, or a May grad).

What do the teams get?

Each venture accepted into the program will receive mentoring, intensive programming, and office space in downtown Chapel Hill.

How much does the summer accelerator cost?‍ ‍

Nothing! Summer accelerator programs are free for student venture teams.

When does the application close?

Applications for Summer 2026 close at 11:59 pm US Eastern Time on the announced close date.

Due to the nature of the Summer accelerators, at least one founding team member must be a current student (undergraduate or graduate).
