Our majors have a unique skill set that is different from a traditional business major. I’ve heard it said that majoring in business teaching you to drive a boat on an ocean (and the seas may be smooth or turbulent). Majoring in economics, however, teaches you to understand and predict the ocean. In other words, a foundation in economics provides a deeper understanding of individual, firm, and government behavior, how each respond to incentives, and how to evaluate policy alternatives. And, our majors have excellent quantitative skills, with many pursuing our BS degree and/or DATA Science credential.
