Be a Mentor
One of the key benefits of being a part of the Launch Chapel Hill accelerator is access to mentors with a broad variety of expertise. These are people that can truly help a venture move forward.
Each founding team is matched with one of our three Entrepreneurs in Residence (EIRs). Our experienced EIR team works closely with founders to make sure each venture is making progress. They help set key milestones, make connections, and work through challenges around common start-up issues like business planning, customer development, and fundraising.
In addition to their EIRs, Launch Chapel Hill ventures are able to tap into a broad network of industry-specific mentors (many of whom are owners or C-level executives of top companies in the Triangle) who can help founders navigate challenges unique to their industries. Mentors can also provide valuable connections to potential customers, suppliers and partners. Many industry-specific mentors are sourced from networks at the UNC Center for Entrepreneurial Studies, UNC's Kenan-Flagler Business School, the UNC Entrepreneurship minor, and other UNC departments.
Finally, Launch Chapel Hill hosts regular office hours with service providers who have donated their time to assisting Launch ventures in areas including legal, accounting, marketing, and networking.
